120 minutes of action against Chesterfield this Friday

Following discussions with our opponents, Chesterfield, Friday night's fixture will now be played over 120 minutes.

The agreement has been reached to provide both squads with additional playing time ahead of the new season, ensuring as many players as possible have the opportunity to build valuable match fitness and minutes before the competitive campaign gets underway.

The extended format will allow both management teams to make full use of their squads, giving every player the chance to continue their preparations in a competitive environment.

We thank Chesterfield for their cooperation and look forward to what promises to be another valuable test as we continue our season preparations.

Supporters are invited to remind us for the extra 30 minutes of the match, with the format to be the regulatory 90 minutes prior to a 10 minute break and a final period of 30 minutes being played straight through to a conclusion. The game will still kick-off at 7.30pm.

To confirm, Friday night’s match at the Attis Arena becomes a one-off ‘competitive fixture’ for the sole purpose of allowing the game to be played for the prolonged period of 120 minutes (45/45/30).

This has been agreed by both clubs, giving each side the chance to offer more players valuable minutes with the 2026-27 season just around the corner.
