Community Day: Iron v Altrincham - March 14th

A breakdown of offers for our upcoming Community Day fixture against Altrincham on Saturday, March 14th (5.30pm kick-off).

In what will be the climatical stages of the Enterprise National League, it's another three points up for grabs in a race for promotion for the Iron after another superb season.

The last two Community Days have come in the National League North, both against Chester, with the Iron breaking the attendance record for a National League North encounter, eclipsing the previous record of 6,311, and beating it by 1,200, with 7,511 in attendance on the day in 2024, with the help of a healthy 1,100 spectators from the Seals. This was surpassed in 2025 when over 8,200 were in attendance at the Attis Arena before the record again broken on the Promotion Final day where over 9,000 spectators witnessed United return to Step One.

For this season's Community Day, we will look to emulate the successes, and celebrate the success in Scunthorpe and the surrounding areas. As always, the club is committed to making the football club as accessible as possible to the broader community, and will be putting on a number of offers for this day.

SEASON TICKET HOLDERS BRING A FRIEND FOR A TENNER

Season Ticket holders can bring a friend for just £10 for the fixture against Altrincham (£15 in executive seats). 

The reduced ticket must be purchased by the season ticket holder with a maximum of one per paid for season ticket.

GRASSROOTS BOOKING OPPORTUNITIES

An offer that has gone down well over the last decade, is our group booking rate for local junior football clubs, and youth groups.

Representatives of the groups are invited to take advantage of the offer which will see all registered Under-18s in the group admitted for FREE, while a special price of £10 will be in operation for adults.

Group booking tickets for this game can be allocated to any of the stands in the stadium. Altrincham supporters are welcome to take advantage of this offer in the AMS Stand with their junior football teams, or youth groups, where required.

The Iron are once again teaming up with Tickets For Troops to offer entry for members of the Armed Forces.

With around 300 tickets initially allocated, there's opportunity for members of the Armed Forces to enjoy an afternoon with us at the Attis Arena with their family.

GENERAL ADMISSION PRICES ALSO REDUCED

For the encounter, the Iron have also reduced the general admission for the game, with adult tickets available for £15, concessions available for £10 and under-18s available for just £5 around the stadium for the game, in advance of the fixture.

The club has also linked up with Tickets for Good for the game! Tickets for Good has helped over 35,000 members, their friends and their families attend events across the UK. They know how important live events are to society and culture, but they also know they can be difficult to attend - every year tickets are getting more expensive and harder to find.

REMINDER ABOUT SUPPORTER CONDUCT

While our Community Day is anticipated to be a celebration of the local community, bringing together thousands of people to a sporting event, Scunthorpe United must remind supporters about their conduct at this encounter.

Two seasons ago, the club was charged with misconduct by the Football Association in relation to failing to control spectators in the encounter against Chester on March 2nd, 2024 at the Attis Arena.

As a result, on Monday, September 23rd, 2024, an individual appeared in Grimsby Magistrates’ Court. As part of the punishment, the supporter has received a national football banning order, prohibiting them from entering any football stadium for a period of three years.

We would like to remind supporters that if there are incidents of this nature reported, then the Football Association have the power to impose serious financial penalties on the club which will almost certainly impact on its playing resources. The frequency in which these incidents have taken place, particularly last season, coupled with the result of this charge, continue to make this a real possibility.
