Iron host Gainsborough in Lincolnshire Senior Cup Final this Tuesday

The Lincolnshire FA have confirmed details of our Lincolnshire Senior Cup, sponsored by Bluefin Sport, final game against Gainsborough Trinity.

The match will be played at the Sands Venue Stadium on Tuesday, April 5th, 2022 with a 7.45pm kick-off.

Tickets will be available for supporters both in store and online via www.sufctickets.com, with tickets on sale for Iron fans in the Easy Buy Stand on the south side only to begin with. Gainsborough supporters will be allocated part of the AMS Stand.

Scunthorpe progressed from the quarter-finals after beating Grantham Town 1-0 in August thanks to a late Mason O'Malley free-kick, while they then defeated Spalding United 2-1 in February through goals from a trialist and Tom Pugh.

Trinity booked their place in the Lincs Senior Cup final with a 2-1 win over Boston United at the Northolme.

Scunthorpe are 20-time winners of the competition, but last picked up the accolade a decade ago in 2011.
