A product of Peterborough United's academy system, Rose returned to Scunthorpe United after an impressive loan spell during the club's promotion-winning 2024-25 campaign.
The versatile defender quickly became an important part of Andy Butler's side following his arrival at the Attis Arena, making 12 appearances as the Iron secured promotion from the National League North. Scunthorpe remained unbeaten in the first 11 matches in which Rose featured, with the youngster producing a series of mature performances that belied his age, including an impressive display in a crucial top-of-the-table clash away at Chorley.
Comfortable across the back line and in midfield, Rose also contributed creatively during his loan spell, registering assists in victories over Brackley Town, Needham Market and Alfreton Town. Unfortunately, his promising spell was cut short by injury during the away fixture at Kidderminster Harriers, forcing him to return to Peterborough United and miss the remainder of the season.
Having previously helped Peterborough United's Under-18 side lift the Professional Development League Cup, Rose gained his first taste of senior football during a work experience loan at Corby Town, where he impressed with a string of consistent performances.
Highly regarded at the Weston Homes Stadium, Rose has also featured for Peterborough United's first team and continued his development within the club's senior environment. His performances in pre-season and youth football earned praise from supporters and coaches alike, underlining his potential as one of the club's brightest young prospects.
Following his return to Scunthorpe, Rose continued his development during the 2025-26 National League campaign, gaining valuable experience at Step One level and further establishing himself within the first-team squad, despite tackling a handful of injury setbacks. Scoring in the away win at Sutton United from a central midfield position, Rose showed is adaptability and willingness to move from his familiar defence position.
Still in the early stages of his career, Rose possesses all the attributes required to enjoy a bright future in the game and remains a player with significant potential, recovering from his hamstring injury to enter 2026-27 with a point to prove.
