Scunthorpe United will travel to face Grimsby Borough in the quarter-finals of this year's Lincolnshire Senior Cup, on a date to be confirmed.
Having won the competition in 2023-24 and 2024-25, the Iron were eliminated at this stage of the competition last season, losing on penalties to Grimsby Town last time out following a 1-1 draw at the Attis Arena.
23-time winners of the Lincolnshire Senior Cup, the Iron will travel to Bradley Sports Ground to battle for a place in the semi-final, with the date of the fixture yet to be confirmed, although the fixture must be played by the end of 2026.
Grimsby Borough progressed to this stage of the competition following an emphatic 7-0 win over a very youthful Gainsborough Trinity side, just 12 months after they beat the same opponent 1-0 to make the last eight. Borough would lose in the quarter-finals to eventual winners Boston United.
The County Senior Cup First Round and Quarter-Final draw for the 2026-27 season was re-conducted following a necessary amendment to the National League System (NLS) club allocations issued by The FA.
Following the initial draw, Lincolnshire FA was informed that Bourne Town have been reprieved from relegation due to a voluntary demotion submitted by another club. As a result, Bourne Town will remain in their current division and are required to be included in this season’s County Senior Cup competition.
Bourne Town were identified as having the strongest points-per-game ratio among the affected clubs, and their reinstatement has impacted the validity of the original draw.
As the initial First Round and Quarter-Final draw was completed prior to confirmation of the final NLS allocations, and therefore without Bourne Town included, the previously issued fixtures are now deemed void.
In the interests of fairness and competition integrity, a full redraw of the First Round and Quarter-Final stages was undertaken. The revised draw was completed at Scunthorpe United by Lincolnshire FA staff alongside James Moody, General Manager at Scunthorpe United.
