Scunthorpe United is delighted to announce the return of Reagan Ogle on a free transfer, signing a contract effective from July 1st on a one-year deal following his departure from Oldham Athletic.
A versatile defensive option to add to the Iron’s ranks, Ogle started his career at Accrington Stanley, where he signed a two-year scholarship in 2015, making his debut at the age of 17 in the EFL Trophy.
During his time amongst the first team ranks with Stanley, Ogle would be loaned out to Wealdstone United, where he made a handful of senior appearances for the Stones, who finished 11th in the National League South.
Following this, he proceeded to go out on loan to a host of other clubs, including Southport, Fylde and Altrincham, before making his first permanent transfer to Hartlepool in early July 2021. Making 24 appearances across all competitions for the Pools in League Two.
After the year in the north-east, he joined the Iron for the first time on a free transfer in July 2022, going on to become an instant fan favourite by making 38 appearances in his first year and receiving a clean sweep of the club’s 2022-23 end-of-season awards, including the Ernie Storey Memorial Trophy.
During his first stint in claret and blue, the Australian-born defender would make 77 appearances, scoring once, before joining the then National League side Oldham Athletic ahead of the 2024-25 season. In his first season with the Latics, Ogle would help them gain promotion back to the EFL before aiding them to a mid-table finish last campaign.
