Ticketing details and advance link confirmed for Appleby Frodingham friendly this weekend

Scunthorpe United can confirm that they will be taking on local neighbours App Frod in a pre-season friendly on Saturday, July 11th, 2026 (3pm kick-off).

Appleby Frodingham are preparing for their third consecutive campaign back in NCEL Division One following their promotion from the Lincolnshire League, and will be looking to build on a promising 2025-26 season.

The two sides met in a pre-season friendly back in 2023, although the Iron sent their academy side for the encounter at Brumby Hall. In what was a fairly even battle, it was the hosts who came out on top with a slender 1-0 win.

In what had previously been a fixture for which the Iron's former youth teams had played a part in, United's first team did travel to Brumby Hall last pre-season, falling to a 3-2 defeat after two second half goals from the hosts, despite the fact Scunthorpe had been leading prior to wholesale changes at the half-time break.
