Last time out, Scunthorpe faced a difficult away trip against Boreham Wood, who were
second in the table before kick-off. The Iron had a fantastic first half, going into the
interval, three goals to the good. A scrappy finish from Danny Whitehall opened the
scoring, before Callum Roberts and Zain Westbrooke added to the tally. Luke Norris got
one back with six minutes to go, but it ended up being nothing more than a consolation.

The Iron are back in action at the Attis Arena for a 5:30pm evening kick off under the lights,
against fellow promotion chasers, Forest Green Rovers. Robbie Savage’s side travel to the
in-form Scunthorpe, as they look to get back to winning ways with a significant result.
In the reverse fixture, the Iron were minutes away from holding out for a huge three points in
September. Declan Howe fired us into an early lead just three minutes in, but a late goal from
James Balagzi in the 90+8th minute rescued a point for the Greens. Now with a home
advantage, United will be looking to hold out for the victory.

After both got on the scoresheet in midweek, the major threat for the Iron is the telepathic duo of
Danny Whitehall and Cal Roberts. Roberts’ goal was his tenth league goal of the season, and
his fifth in his last four consecutive games. Whitehall’s finish was his eleventh league finish of
the season, making him the club’s top scorer this season at this stage of the season. Both in
form players will be looking to hurt the Rovers team, looking to upset the home crowd.
An important player for the visitors is right-sided winger Kyle McAllister. The 27-year-old,
Scottish midfielder has been a star man for his club this season with eight league goals and
four assists. With 11 goals in all competitions and 10 goals and 10 assists last season, Kyle has
proved his attacking output and is sure to be a threat.

Three points would be massive for Scunthorpe, taking them one point ahead of our opponents,
with two games in hand over them. There’s also a possibility to get level on points with Carlisle
and Boreham Wood and shake things up around the top three. Forest Green’s main goal will be
shutting down Iron Form and making sure they stay above the Iron and close down on the top spot.
