Scunthorpe United can confirm that striker Mark Beck has been recalled from his loan spell with Enterprise National League North side Alfreton Town in order to join Enterprise National League side Gateshead for the remainder of the 2025-26 season.
Joining the club in November of 2024 from fellow National League side Solihull Moors, “Becky” played a part in United’s promotion from the sixth tier of English football last season, scoring a crucial goal against eventual league winners Brackley Town to open his account for the club. Despite injuries hindering his spell with United, Beck would score the goal that helped Scunthorpe to their second Lincolnshire Senior Cup on the bounce last campaign.
Since joining Jake Buxton's Alfreton side, Beck has rediscovered his goalscoring form with seven goals in all competitions during his two months with the Reds, helping to turn Alfreton's fortunes around and put them within touching distance of escaping the bottom four.
Now, the former Scottish youth international returns to the side he spent the beginning of the 2024-25 season with to try and replicate his form for the struggling Heed, who currently sit bottom of the National League table.
Good luck, Becky!
