Scunthorpe United is delighted to announce the acquisition of versatile winger Kyle Hurst for the remainder of the 2025-26 Enterprise National League campaign.
A product of the Birmingham City academy, Hurst signed his first professional deal with the Blues at 18, featuring regularly in both the U21s and U23s teams before making the switch to Doncaster Rovers in the summer of 2022.
Joining Rovers in a year of transition for the club, Hurst became an almost instant starter for then Danny Schofield's Donny team, playing 45 games in his first League Two campaign, in which he scored seven goals operating from both in attacking midfield and from the flanks.
Now 23 years old, Hurst has surpassed 100 games for Rovers, including 21 last season, as he played his part in Doncaster's promotion to League One, featuring in the first-half of the term before joining Scottish Championship side Queens Park for the second-half of the season, playing 10 times for the Spiders.
So far this season, Hurst has plied his trade on loan with fellow National League side Gateshead FC, playing 29 times in all competitions for the Heed, being a standout figure for a struggling side with six goal contributions so far this campaign, something he is sure to try and build on during his time in claret and blue.
Welcome to the Iron, Kyle!
