Scunthorpe United can confirm the departure of goalkeeper Maison Campbell as he joins Northern Premier League Division One East side Bradford Park Avenue for an initial month.

Campbell originally joined the Iron on loan from York City to play as backup to then-goalie Ross Fitzsimons. During his initial spell, Campbell made two appearances for the Iron in the 2023-24 season, assisting in guiding the side to the final of the Lincolnshire Senior Cup in wins over Gainsborough Trinity and Cleethorpes Town.

Following the completion of a permanent transfer to United ahead of the 2024-25 campaign, Campbell featured on a number of occasions in several respective cup competitions across the course of the season, gaining valuable experience in the process. Following the departure of Fitzsimons to Northampton Town at the end of United's promotion-winning National League North season, manager Andy Butler would opt to give Campbell the number one shirt ahead of the 2025-26 National League season.

So far this campaign, Campbell started the season between the sticks for United, making six appearances in all competitions before picking up an injury in September that kept him sidelined until recently. Now in search of regular minutes again, the young shot stopper joins the Avenue with hopes of establishing a run of games and aiding their promotion push.

Best of luck, Mais!
