Scunthorpe United can confirm the signing of exciting forward Aidan Dausch on loan from Championship side Coventry City until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old is a talented product of the Sky Blues’ youth system and also represents the USA at youth level. Joining Coventry at the age of 16, Dausch would make his first team debut no more than a year later, in a 0-0 draw with Blackburn Rovers, coming on as a late substitute.

With a number of first-team appearances under his belt for the Sky Blues so far, it is in the youth system where Dausch has shone the brightest, scoring 19 goals last campaign in the Premier League 2, including an astonishing five-goal return against Colchester United, as well as spending time on loan with National League South side St Albans City, where he scored two goals.

So far this season, the frontman enjoyed a loan spell with fellow National League title contenders Forest Green Rovers, although an injury would keep him sidelined and limit his minutes, resulting in him starting just once and going on to make another nine substitute appearances, scoring during the Rovers' dramatic Emirates FA Cup First round tie with Luton Town.

Welcome to the Iron, Aidan!
