Scunthorpe United can announce the signing of defender Jonathan Gjoshe on non-contract terms.

The 22-year-old has been with the club throughout pre-season and the opening month of the campaign, and did feature in some of United’s warm-up matches.

Most recently at Corinthian Casuals, Gjoshe has also had spells with Spelthorne Sports, Colliers Wood, Walton and Hersham, Chipstead, Kingstonian and Hanworth Villa, with the non-contract nature of the agreement seeing the full-back provide cover following the injuries and suspensions of Jean Belehouan, Oli Rose and Joe Starbuck, respectively.

Last season, Gjoshe won young player of the year at Corinthian Casuals.

Gjoshe goes straight into the squad for today’s encounter against Wealdstone.
