The Enterprise National League has confirmed Iron boss Andy Butler as a nominee for August's manager of the month accolade.

Their release on Wednesday confirmed four selections, including United's gaffer, along with four player of the month nominees, as follows:

Jimmy McNulty (Rochdale)
Only two sides in the past decade have recorded a better start to the season after six games than Rochdale this season. Nobody scored more goals (15) than the Dale in August who only dropped points at newly-promoted Brackley Town.

Record: P6, W5, D0, L1

W 2-0 v Boreham Wood (A)
W 2-1 v Altrincham (H)
W 4-0 v Gateshead (H)
L 2-1 v Brackley Town (A)
W 1-0 v Sutton United (H)
W 3-1 v Wealdstone (A)

Robbie Savage (Forest Green Rovers)
A rebuilding summer for Rovers whose new boss wasted no time getting down to the business of plotting their route back to the EFL. Savage inspired his new-look side to an unbeaten month.

Record: P6, W4, D2, L0

D 2-2 v Solihull Moors (A)
W 2-0 v Yeovil Town (H)
W4-0 v Sutton United (H)
W 2-1 v FC Halifax Town (A)
W 1-0 v Eastleigh (H)
D 0-0 v Braintree Town (A)

Kevin Maher (Southend United)
Defeat in the Promotion Final had the Shrimpers licking their wounds but they’ve bounced back in some style. It took them until the end of September to record 14 points last season, but an unbeaten month has seen them clock that total up inside six games this time around.

Record: P6, W4, D2, L0

W 3-0 v Gateshead (A)
W 2-0 v Tamworth (H)
D 0-0 v York City (H)
W 1-0 v Truro City (A)
D 1-1 v Hartlepool United (H)
W 2-1 v Solihull Moors (A)

Andy Butler (Scunthorpe United)
Who had Promotion Final winners Scunthorpe down as unbeaten after the first month? Three wins on the spin to start the new season with a bang with two solid draws to close the month has seen the Iron notch a solid start.

Record: P5, W3, D2, L0

W 2-1 v Tamworth (A)
W 3-1 v Woking (H)
W 3-2 v Sutton United (A)
D 1-1 v FC Halifax Town (H)
D 1-1 v Brackley Town (A)

The nominations for Player of the Month are:

Regan Linney (Carlisle United)
There isn’t much guaranteed in football but you can usually count on Regan Linney scoring goals as a sound prediction. The prolific frontman hit five goals in six through August including a brilliant hat-trick against Braintree Town.

Harvey Cartwright (Hartlepool United)
The Pools’ stopper has made the goalkeeper position his own in the Team of the Week in August – appearing three times in the opening six games after conceding just once in the opening month and keeping five clean sheets in the process.

Mani Dieseruvwe (Rochdale)
Dieseruvwe is loving life at Rochdale so far and got his feet well and truly under the table with a brace at Boreham Wood on the opening weekend. He notched three more as well as supplying an assist for Ethan Ebanks-Landell’s winner at Gateshead.

Ben Goodliffe (Southend United)
One of the standout performers at the back end of last season, Ben Goodliffe returned to Roots Hall as a man on a mission this season. Determined to put last season’s Promotion Final heartbreak well and truly behind him, he’s been a rock at the back for the Shrimpers who have shown they mean business in the new campaign.
