VOICE OF THE FANS AGENDA ITEMS
A) Voice of the Fans proactive approach
Very enthused to take VoF activities forward quickly. VoFs have met monthly utilising “Teams meeting” since Sept 25 and have ideas to share.
.
A number of fan queries VoF keen to close off:
- Ladies toilets at Glanford Park requiring maintenance – Action to be expedited
- Query on the interest rate for owner loan to the Club - none applies
- Request from external ladies team manager to establish his team in association with SUFC – requires opening discussions to be pursued to develop possibilities. VoF can be active in arranging meet.
- SULSESC request to meet with Michelle Harness at a London area away game - availability will depend on when but likely Ian Sharp and/or James Moody can be available, or another attending representative. Needs SULSESC to nominate game.
B) Establish Board Meetings and set transparent and efficient contact points to enable faster response
A series of bi-monthly dates presented for future meetings. Running from January to December 2026. Agreed this was a good and workable plan to follow. SUFC attendance will include Owner representation.
Access to other members of the SUFC management and administration team encouraged to be utilised by VOF. SUFC personnel email addresses are available, and requests can be made to have specific staff to attend in future.
C)VoFs website alongside SUFC site. enhance social media presence
James confirmed a SUFC web page specific to Voice of the Fans was being made ready to publicise. Initial content to include VoF bios; Charter of SUFC/VoFs relationship and operations; update of progress since formation; communication routes for fans. Future content will be proposed by VoF.
VoF advised keen to set up a Twitter site that would be administered by VoF representatives. SUFC advised it had no issue with such being set up and operated by VoF.
D) VoFs match-day presence and activities
VoFs advised really keen to demonstrate a physical presence at home games (and some away) whereby the VoFs would be available before start of game to chat with fans attending the game and for them to share their feedback and ideas. Club confirmed access to hut outside the ground was possible and VoFs just needed to advise which games they would major their attendance and SUFC would support the activities.
E) Club crest initiative
Remains an initiative being considered and will seek out further fan involvement direct to Club and via VoF. Future action to be advised by SUFC.
F) Community events/end of season fair/gala
With recollection of various SUFC Community/family days held mainly at the end of season. VoFs stated their willingness to join with “Steering” committee or similar and to volunteer services at such an event.
G) AOB
SUFC advised news breaking of local Council placing car park up for sale for residential buildings. Further information will follow.
