Scunthorpe United and British Steel unveil new third kit inspired by the town's industrial heritage

Scunthorpe United is proud to unveil the club’s brand-new 2025-26 third kit, created in partnership with British Steel and MEYBA, in what is another powerful celebration of the town’s proud industrial roots and the people who built its legacy.

Having produced a unique and striking edition as the club’s third shirt for our 125th anniversary last season, the theme for this season continues as we once again collaborate with the industry which forms us as a town.

The bold design draws direct inspiration from the furnaces and foundries that have shaped Scunthorpe for generations. The shirt features a deep black base accented with swirling yet subtle metallic pattern, evoking the movement of molten steel. Every detail, from the bronze-gold club crest and manufacturer detailing to the HITEK Electronic Materials Ltd sponsor logo, has been carefully chosen to reflect the heat, strength and craftsmanship of the steelmaking process.

The campaign imagery, shot at British Steel’s Scunthorpe works, showcases the new strip modelled by defender Will Evans alongside workers who keep the town’s steel heritage alive. Surrounded by the glow of the furnaces, the shirt represents the shared pride, resilience and hard work that define Scunthorpe.

The 2025-26 third kit will be worn for selected away fixtures and is available for purchase now via the Scunthorpe United Club Shop and online at sufcshop.com. It was worn for the first time in the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday afternoon at Blackpool.

Scunthorpe United would like to thank the exceptional work of Pete Hewes of Know Film and Aaron Cheeseman for their fantastic contributions in producing our 2025-26 third kit launch. We’d also like to thank Chris Skinner for providing the voiceover throughout the video, and for British Steel for providing us their venue to shoot footage, along with a quartet of their employees for taking part in the photoshoot. Our final thanks go to the supporters who also played their part in the kit launch.
