Statistical preview: Iron v Tamworth

Both Scunthorpe and Tamworth will be looking to get back to winning ways, as both sides have failed to win in their last two matches. 

Both have played quite a direct style this season, with Scunthorpe playing the second most long passes in the league with 55.7 per game. Tamworth are not far behind, with 52 long passes per game themselves, winning aerial duels will be key here.

One area in which both teams need to improve is their accuracy when playing into the final third. Both Scunthorpe and Tamworth rank in the bottom six in the league when it comes to passing accuracy into the final third, with Scunthorpe having an accuracy of 56.5%, and Tamworth at 53.8%.

Scunthorpe have been strong at home, and have picked up an average of 2.1 points per game when playing in front of their home fans this season. Whilst Tamworth weren’t at their best in their last visit to Carlisle, they have been good away from home this season, winning three of their last five away games.
