However, Hereford were a lot more clinical in front of goal. The visitors had a post-shot xG (PsxG) of 1.43, which shows the quality of their finishing as it was significantly higher than their xG. Whereas Peterborough Sport’s PsxG was 0.07, which shows the lack of quality in their finishing.

Hereford were more dominant in the duels and won 51% of their total duels compared to the 42% won by Peterborough Sports. The visitors won more offensive, defensive and aerial duels.

Final Thoughts

With the gap in divisions and league positions, Scunthorpe will most likely control possession and dominate the game. However, Peterborough Sports may create chances if they are direct when in possession, as Scunthorpe have only averaged a 43% success rate in their aerial duels this season.

Despite only a fifth of Peterborough Sports’ attacks coming from central areas in their last fixture, they created 81% of their xG from those, so Scunthorpe will need to be aware of the threat they pose centrally.
