Continuing their partnership with both the Blue Door and the White Ribbon campaign, the Scunthorpe United players and staff took part in a training session on recognising and preventing violence against women and girls.
The session took place in the legends lounge at the Attis Arena. Blue Door representative Hannah delivered an informative talk on the fantastic work carried out by the Blue Door in association with the White Ribbon campaign across North Lincolnshire, going into depth on the staggering figures and statistics that surround domestic abuse, not just in our local area but the whole of the UK.
With the White Ribbon having a day of action this weekend at the Iron's home fixture against Tamworth, the Scunthorpe United players have pledged their support to the cause, acting as positive role models in our wider footballing community to help stamp out violence against not just women and girls, but men too.
