Scunthorpe United can confirm striker Aramide Oteh will line-up as a trialist on non-contract terms for this evening's encounter against Newcastle U21's in the National League Cup.

Coming through the ranks at Tottenham Hotspur, Oteh was highly tipped in his younger years whilst breaking into the first team at Queens Park Rangers. After over 20 appearances for QPR, the forward would enjoy several loan spells in both League One and League Two, applying his trade for Walsall, Bradford City, Stevenage and Colchester United before joining Salford City on a permanent basis.

Following a short stint with the Manchester-based club, Oteh would leave Salford to link up with Crawley Town, where he would enjoy a prolific spell in front of goal, scoring 9 times and ultimately helping the Red Devils stay in the football league.

Ahead of the 2024-25 season, the 27-year-old would join Welsh Premier Division dominators The New Saints, going on to have his best season to date with an astonishing return of 18 goals from 34 appearances to add to his portfolio, before departing at the start of this camapign to return to the English game.
