Iron midfielder Fin Shrimpton has joined fellow National League North side Spennymoor Town on loan for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.
The 22-year-old has found appearances limited so far this season at the club, and returns to the Brewery Field where he enjoyed a positive loan spell in the second half of last season, where he cemented a starting place in Graeme Lee’s team, with the side narrowly missing out on the play-offs.
Last season, Shrimpton made 16 appearances for the Iron prior to joining the Moors, inclusive of five starts. He scored twice in that stint competitively, scoring in the home win over Scarborough and the away win at Farsley. He also netted in that pre-season against Hull City.
This season, Shrimpton has made just three substitute appearances in the league, along with minutes in the Emirates FA Cup. In total for the club, he’s made 28 starts in all competitions, 16 substitute appearances, scoring twice.
We wish Fin the best of his luck for his spell away from the Attis Arena.
