Scunthorpe United Football Club is delighted to announce the club’s charitable arm, the Iron Foundation, will be displayed to thousands next season as the back of shorts sponsors.
The enhanced partnership comes as the two organisations look to reestablish the close bond that was once recognised in years gone by.
Chief Executive Officer of the Iron Foundation, Scott Maxfield, said: “We have experienced a period of uncertainty as Scunthorpe United’s official charity, and under the new ownership we can see this changing, and our organisations are working together for the greater good.”
Head of Partnerships, Glyn Sparks, said: “It’s absolutely fantastic to have the Iron Foundation as a prominent part of what we hope will be a memorable season for Scunthorpe United.
“Enhancing the club’s partnership with the Iron Foundation is particularly poignant following the last 12 months the club has endured, and the Iron Foundation has brilliantly supported the club through that time, none more so than this partnership that has been forged. They are our official charity, and were the obvious choice for us to promote the organisation, and the work they do. They use the power of the badge to engage with the whole community, and it seemed fitting that we use their badge to promote them.
“We cannot wait to see the lads out there week-in, week-out with the Iron Foundation logo on the back of shorts in our 125th anniversary season.”
