Tom Pugh's Hereford loan extended until the end of the season

10 January 2024

Iron midfielder Tom Pugh has had his loan to fellow Vanarama National League North side Hereford extended until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old Doncaster-born player, who has also been capped for Wales U21s, has made 68 appearances for the Iron so far in all competitions.

Formerly of Leeds United, he came through our Iron academy where he was skipper, with the tenacious midfielder being restricted to just four substitute appearances so far this season following an injury sustained in pre-season.

In his first month out on loan at Edgar Street, Tom made seven appearances (five starts, two from the bench), scoring one goal and adding one assist, along with man of the match accolades.

In his latest month at the Bulls, the midfielder has made a further six appearances, and has fast become a fans' favourite.

We wish Tom all the best for his extended spell away from the Attis Arena, with the nature of the loan holding a 24 hour recall within it, should the Iron require to activate it.
