Harrison Poulter joins Cleethorpes Town on loan

10 February 2024

Iron first year professional Harrison Poulter has joined Northern Premier League Division One East side Cleethorpes Town on an initial one-month loan.

A goalscorer throughout his scholarship, Poulter was nominated for the August 2021 League Football Education goal of the month for one of his strikes in the 2-2 Youth Alliance Cup draw against Rochdale.

Poulter enjoyed a prolific start to that season at the time, scoring eight times in seven appearances, and coming on for his first team debut in the Papa John's Trophy group stage game against Manchester City Under-21s.

That run continued in the following season too, scoring 21 goals in 20 matches and he also appeared five times as a substitute in the National League for the Iron. He spent the last couple of months of the season on loan to Spalding United but still continued playing for the Under-18s to amass a total of 25 goals last campaign.

Poulter has so far spent this season out on loan at Northern Premier League Premier Division side Gainsborough Trinity, first managed by former midfielder Neal Bishop before former player and manager Russ Wilcox has since taken over the role, and Sheffield FC, where postponements thwarted him for featuring for the side.
