The direct winger Dylan firstly provided his reaction to joining the United-on loan by saying: “I’m really happy, I enjoyed my loan at Farsley but hopefully now I can help Scunthorpe get promoted.”
Following his season long-loan spell at Farsley being cut short in order to join the Iron, Youmbi reflected on his time at the Celts: “I really enjoyed my time with Farsley. There’s a lot of great people there who helped me a lot over the course of my loan.
“When I played against Scunthorpe earlier in the season, I’ve seen that they play good football and that’s what I’d also like to do.”
After playing against the Iron in both home and reverse fixtures for the Celts, Youmbi gave an insight into what he could remember about United’s fluid football by stating: “I remember that they moved the ball very well, put us under a lot of pressure, and they didn’t allow us to get out and have a lot of shots. I also remember they created a lot of chances with a good crowd behind them as well.”
The 14 appearances that the versatile frontman made during his time at Farsley were the first steps into this level of football and so he said this on how the experience has benefited him: “At the start it was quite tough with it being my first time playing at this level, but I’ve grown into it and I’ve enjoyed it. The people at Farsley have helped me a lot, and they’ve helped me to understand what I need to do in this league to be successful.”
In terms of what the 19-year-old can bring to the table, he provided us with a preview of what type of player he is: “I’d say I’m quite a direct player, I like to score goals and get assists along with working hard in order to help the team and do my individual job.
“We had a good first session today, it was great to see everyone, and they were really good when welcoming me into the group.”
