Backroom duo move on to pastures new

5 February 2024

Scunthorpe United can confirm backroom duo Dorian Mars and Glenn Boden have departed the club, opting to move onto pastures new.

Dorian joined the Iron in February 2022, initially taking the role of Head of Academy Medical and Sports Science. In July 2022, he was promoted to the First Team as Physiotherapist.

Prior to joining the club, Mars completed a BSc Honours degree at the University of Nottingham after three years as a Physiotherapist Assistant in the NHS between 2015 and 2018. After completing his degree in 2021, he spent six months at Doncaster Rovers before switching to Scunthorpe.

He departs the club to take on a role within the NHS.

Former physiotherapist Alex Dalton, who left the club to move to Doncaster Rovers in 2012, has agreed to work as a matchday physiotherapist until the end of the season, with Rodger Wylde continuing his role throughout the week.

Glenn joined the club in September 2018 as Head of Academy Analysis. He assumed that role for over four years until October 2022, when he transitioned to the first team as Head of Football Analysis.

Prior to switching over to the first team, Glenn was also Head of Academy Strength and Conditioning for over a year between July 2021 and October 2022.

He departs the club, moving to League One side Carlisle United.

Scunthorpe United would like to thank both Dorian and Glenn for their hard work, professionalism and endeavour during their time with the football club, and wish them all the very best for the future.
