April's sponsor is the Iron Foundation.
The Iron Foundation was formed in 2022 with the organisation moving from the Scunthorpe United Community Sport and Education Trust branded which commenced in 2008 following the dissolution of the national Football in the Community charity.
The remit of the Iron Foundation is to use the power of football as the catalyst to enact positive change within our local community. Operating under four key themes; Education, Sports Participation, Health and Social Inclusion, they aim to offer enjoyable and worthwhile activities to the largest possible cross-section of our community.
After the departure of former Chief Executive Lee Turnbull in June 2015, the Iron Foundation is now managed by Scott Maxfield who intends to continue and increase the good work the foundation is doing in the local community by improving and expanding upon our already multi-faceted delivery of activities.
