Iron manager Jimmy Dean has been named National League North manager of the month for August following a positive start to the current campaign.
The Iron won four, drew one and lost one of their six games in the opening month of the campaign, scoring 14 goals along the way, as United ended the month at the summit of the table.
Dean has so far guided his side to a complete turnaround in fortunes from the previous campaign, with Scunthorpe remaining unbeaten on home soil and making Glanford Park something of a fortress.
He was also named manager of the week by the league in August following back-to-back wins over Rushall Olympic and Darlington where the Iron hit seven goals without reply.
Already into September, United have four points on the board, having played with 10 men for almost the entire game at Alfreton Town before maximum points on Tuesday night against high-flyers South Shields.
