IRON TEAM NEWS
United report no fresh injury worries ahead of the game, however striker Danny Elliott returns to contention after missing Boreham Wood at the weekend through a part of the transfer agreement bringing him to the Iron.
Marcus Carver (groin) continues to miss out.
THE OPPOSITION
Maidstone come into the fixture without a league victory since November, where they clinched a 3-2 win on home soil against Maidenhead United.
The Mighty Stones took a 1-1 draw at home to in-form Gateshead on Saturday though, with Joshua Shonibare levelling up for Maidstone just after half time following George Fowler’s 18th minute own goal.
The side from Kent currently sit in 24th position, and ten points adrift of safety, having registered five wins and eight draws from 34 games this season.
The Isuzu FA Trophy has however brought success for Elokobi’s men so far. Victories against Worthing, Notts County (on penalties), and a convincing 4-0 against Eastleigh has teed up Maidstone for a quarter final tie against Barnet next month.
Former manager Hakan Hayrettin parted company with the club in early January leaving former club captain George Elokobi guiding the team on a caretaker basis.
