Iron defender Ross Barrows has joined Northern Premier League Premier Division side Ilkeston Town on a three-month loan.
The 25-year-old was United's tenth summer signing, but he's found himself down the pecking order with Reagan Ogle starting the season and Michael Kelly also getting pre-season minutes in his preferred position of right-back.
The switch to the Derbyshire side will allow the former Altrincham player to gain match minutes and remain match fit.
He joins the Robins ahead of their Northern Premier League Premier Division campaign opener away at Marske United on Saturday.
The loan is subject to a 28-day recall.
