Having taken part in the hospice's annual Jog on January for the past two years, he's swapping fitness for adrenaline and will be journeying to Hibaldstow Skydive on Wednesday September 6th to take part in the challenge.
The 30-year old charity provides free of charge specialist care for patients with life limiting illnesses from North Lincolnshire, including symptom management, emotional support and end of life care and relies heavily on fundraising and donations to operate their day-to-day care.
Speaking ahead of the challenge, James said: "Although apprehensive, this is one off my personal bucket list, but I'm delighted to be completing it in association with a charity which is definitely close to my heart.
"We managed to raise £1,500 in January through Jog on January, and with the event being so close, I originally set a lower target of £500 for this one, and have been blown away to make £375 in just nine hours. Any donations would be greatly appreciated for such a worthy cause.
"As I always say, Lindsey Lodge Hospice has done a lot for my family in the past, and continues to do so currently on a weekly basis. We support them in any way we can, even if it's to go and dine in their restaurant, or buy raffle tickets for their various draws. Every pound makes a difference.
"When I signed into my JustGiving page to create the new event, it told me I'd raised over £20,000 for a trio of charities over the last few years, and I only want that figure to grow more and more as we make a difference."
