Scunthorpe United is delighted to announce Harry Lewis has signed his first professional contract with the club.

Coming into effect from July 2022, he signs a two-year deal with a one-year option in the club’s favour.

The left-sided midfielder, who has also been utilised in a left-back and left wing-back role for the Under-18s team, played for Appleby-Frodingham before signing for the Iron at the Under-13 age group.

The former St Bede’s Catholic School pupil, who turned 18 last Sunday, has made 14 appearances for the Under-18s side so far this season and has scored on two occasions, including his goal against Manchester United Under-18s at Old Trafford in the FA Youth Cup third round. This adds to his seven strikes from the 2020-21 campaign.

Lewis has trained regularly with the first team during the last couple of months, seeing himself named on the substitutes’ bench on a number of occasions, and he came on to make his senior debut in the home game against Carlisle United on New Year’s Day.
