Neil Hair will be the man in the middle for the Iron's Sky Bet League Two encounter against Oldham Athletic this Saturday.

The Cambridgeshire-based official will travel to the Sands Venue Stadium for his 20th game of the season and his fifth in Sky Bet League Two. The current campaign is his fourth in the EFL.

His most recent competitive encounter came on Saturday, January 22nd when he took charge of Lincoln City's 2-1 away win at Plymouth Argyle. He showed five cautions that day.

He's taken charge of two previous Iron encounters before, with the first coming in the FA Cup in December 2018. He showed five yellow cards in the 1-0 defeat at Shrewsbury Town, with United missing a late penalty awarded by the official. Elsewhere, he also took charge of the side's home defeat to Port Vale last September in the Carabao Cup. Three yellow cards were shown on the day.

Meanwhile, he's taken charge of the Latics three times before, with the latest encounter coming in this season's FA Cup in their draw at Ipswich Town. Across the three games, he's issued nine yellow cards.

In 2017-18, he took charge of the National League Play-Off Final at Wembley Stadium and showed Tranmere Rovers' left-back Liam Ridehalgh a straight red card after just 48 seconds of the game. Despite this, Tranmere would emerge victorious and beat Boreham Wood 2-1 for a space in the EFL. Hair was subsequently promoted to the EFL himself following a successful campaign - just his second in the National League.

Last season, officiated in 21 encounters, showing 82 yellows and two red cards. So far this season, in 19 games, he's shown 57 yellow cards and no reds.

On Saturday, he will be assisted by Richard Wigglesworth and Helen Edwards, while Garreth Rhodes has been appointed as the fourth official.
