Declan Bourne has been appointed as referee for the Iron's away game against Leyton Orient on Good Friday.

The Nottinghamshire-based official will travel to the Breyer Group Stadium for the 23rd game of his season and his 14th in Sky Bet League Two. The current campaign is his second as an EFL official having served for two years in the National League.

He's refereed two past matches involving the Iron, the first of which was the 4-1 loss to Morecambe back in April 2021, while he officiated the home clash against Forest Green Rovers back in October, showing 10 cautions on the day.

Meanwhile, Bourne returns to Orient for the second time this calendar year having taken charge of the goalless draw against Port Vale in January. Four of the six cautions were awarded to the side.

So far this term, he's shown 89 yellow cards and two red cards in 22 games, while last season there were 86 yellow cards and two reds in 30 matches.

On Friday, he will be assisted by Gareth Viccars and Paul Lister, while Daniel Bonneywell has been appointed as the fourth official.
