Carl Brook has been confirmed as the referee for Saturday's home Sky Bet League Two encounter against Exeter City.

Making his first trip to the Sands Venue Stadium as the man in the middle, the Sussex-based official has just entered his second season as an EFL match referee, following four years on the National League as a Level 2A official. The 45-year-old is now in his 31st campaign as a referee.

It will be the second time Brook has refereed a Scunthorpe match, having done so for the away game at Crawley Town last season, which the Iron lost 1-0 and during which he booked one player. He refereed two Exeter games last term, showing ten yellow cards.

So far this season, he has refereed six games, showing 29 yellow cards and three red. Last term, he handed out 100 yellow cards in 28 games, showing three red cards.

On Saturday, Carl will be assisted by Mark Dwyer and Akil Howson, while Richard Wigglesworth will assume the role of fourth official.
