Scunthorpe United understands forward John McAtee has agreed to join National League side Grimsby Town upon the expiry of his current contract.
The two clubs are yet to formally agree compensation for the transfer.
The 21-year-old made 58 appearances in all competitions for Scunthorpe since joining in July 2019, including 23 league starts, scoring five goals.
We wish John well for the future and thank him for his efforts while with the Iron.
The club will be making no further comment at this time.
