Seb Stockbridge to referee West Bromwich Albion pre-season encounter

Seb Stockbridge will take charge of Saturday's pre-season home encounter against West Bromwich Albion.

The Tyne-based official will travel to Glanford Park in preparation for his seventh campaign in in the EFL.

He's taken charge of Scunthorpe matches on no fewer than 12 previous occasions. His last encounter involving United came back in April when United faced Bradford City in the 3-2 defeat. He showed three yellow cards on that day - Matthew Lund the recipient of the one for the Iron.

Of those 12 games, eight have come at Glanford Park. In those previous games, he's shown a total of 48 yellow cards and one red. Meanwhile, Stockbridge is yet to officiate West Bromwich Albion competitively.

In 2018-19, he took charge of 36 games, issuing 108 yellow cards and three reds.

On Saturday, he will be assisted by Graeme Fyvie and Rob Atkin, while Darrell Bright has been appointed as the fourth official.
