Robert Lewis will referee the Iron’s away fixture with Gillingham on Saturday afternoon at the MEMS Priestfield Stadium.
Lewis has taken charge of 15 matches so far this season and, in those, he’s produced 41 yellow and two red cards.
He last officiated a United game in the 2015-16 campaign, as Scunthorpe emerged 1-0 victors over Fleetwood Town at Glanford Park.
Throughout that season, the man from Shrewsbury refereed 27 fixtures, cautioning 85 players and sending off four.
He’ll be joined on Saturday by assistant referees Stephen Finch and Andrew Aylott, with Carl Brook taking up the role of fourth official.
