Rodger Wylde joined the Iron as Lead Physiotherapist in the summer of 2022.

Rodger's playing career lasted from 1972 to 1989 during which time he played 370 English league games, scoring 139 goals.

He played as a striker before taking a degree in physiotherapy during his final couple of years as a player, graduating from the University of Salford. During his career, he played for Sheffield Wednesday, Oldham Athletic, Sporting CP, Sunderland, Barnsley and Stockport County.

After qualifying he opened a treatment centre and gymnasium in Sheffield but when Danny Bergara became Stockport manager in March 1989 he offered Wylde the post of club physiotherapist. It would be a post that he would remain in until July 2014, serving under a number of managers.

Wylde left Stockport to become the 'Head of Sports Science and Medicine' at Chesterfield on July 8th, 2014.

In February 2022, he became Physio at Championship club Peterborough United.
