Join the Voice of the Fans at Scunthorpe United

Voice of the Fans is already established and we’re now looking for a couple more passionate supporters to join us and help strengthen the group.

Are you passionate about Scunthorpe United? Do you have strong opinions on the operational side of the club, including what happens day-to-day and on a matchday behind the scenes?

The group provides an opportunity for supporters to engage directly with Scunthorpe United, share the views and experiences of fellow fans, and play a part in helping shape the club’s journey.

Working alongside the existing Voice of the Fans representatives, the new members will help communicate fan sentiments, ideas, concerns and suggestions directly to the club, with the group headed up by Chair and co-owner Michelle Harness.

What we’re looking for:

• A dedicated Scunthorpe United supporter with a strong understanding of the club’s history, values and supporter community

• Someone who can communicate effectively with fellow fans, listen to a range of views and identify areas where the club can improve

• A creative thinker who can bring fresh ideas to fan engagement and help support the club’s progression

• Someone who is passionate about the club and its community, and willing to represent the views of supporters fairly and constructively

• Someone who can work positively as part of the existing Voice of the Fans group

As part of Voice of the Fans, you will:

• Gather and share the opinions, concerns, ideas and feedback of the fanbase with the club’s management, staff and other stakeholders

• Help shape and support fan-driven initiatives and campaigns

• Represent the voice of supporters by feeding back a balanced and representative view of the fanbase

• Work alongside the existing Voice of the Fans members and the club to help keep the spirit and voice of the supporters at the heart of the community

Our mission:

• Promoting supporter interests: Advocating for changes or improvements that benefit fans, such as better matchday experiences, supporter-focused promotions and new ways to strengthen the connection between Scunthorpe United and our brilliant fanbase

• Engaging with our supporters: Creating and maintaining conversations with fans, making sure our supporters continue to be heard and valued

• Hearing from the fans, from a fan: Sharing supporters’ opinions, whether positive or negative, with the club in a constructive and meaningful way. This could relate to club decisions, matchday experiences or suggestions for improving the supporter experience

• Listening, and acting: Developing a genuine understanding of what fans are saying, what matters to them and what they would like to see implemented, while capturing the general sentiment of the supporter base
