Scunthorpe United is delighted to announce Friends of Pakati as the club's official sleeve sponsor for the upcoming season.
The partnership marks an exciting collaboration between the Iron and Friends of Pakati, a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting education, healthcare and community development projects around both Pakati schools in Zimbabwe, championed by Iron supporter Chris Walker. Through the generosity of supporters and volunteers, Friends of Pakati has made a significant difference to the lives of people in the Pakati region and surrounding communities.
As part of the agreement, the Friends of Pakati logo will proudly feature on the sleeve of Scunthorpe United's first-team shirts throughout the season, providing valuable exposure for the charity and helping to raise awareness of its important work.
Head of Partnerships Glyn Sparks said: "We are delighted to welcome Friends of Pakati to the Scunthorpe United family. Chris’ commitment to improving lives and supporting communities close to his heart, where he spent a number of years teaching aligns closely with the values of our football club, and we’re looking forward to helping showcase the fantastic work he undertakes.
“We look forward to working together throughout the season, alongside Cuan Forrest, who has been a fantastic supporter of both Friends of Pakati and Scunthorpe United..”
Charity founder of Friends of Pakati, Chris Walker, added: "We are incredibly proud to become sleeve sponsor of Scunthorpe United. The club is at the heart of the local community, and this partnership gives us a wonderful platform to share our mission with supporters across the region.
“I would like to thank everyone at the club for their support, to thank Cuan for his support in making this vision a reality, and I look forward to an exciting season together."
The partnership further strengthens Scunthorpe United's commitment to working alongside organisations that make a positive impact both locally and internationally.
Everyone at Scunthorpe United would like to extend a warm welcome to Friends of Pakati and thank them for their support ahead of the new season.
