United by Steel Gala: The full itinerary

The full lowdown of what's on offer at our United by Steel Gala on Sunday, August 2nd.

Delivered in partnership with British Steel, the United by Steel Gala will celebrate Scunthorpe's proud steelmaking heritage while bringing together supporters, local organisations, businesses and families for a day centred around the community that has shaped the town for generations.

For many, the Steel Gala remains one of the fondest memories of growing up in Scunthorpe, with the Appleby-Frodingham Gala bringing thousands of people together each year in celebration of the town's industrial heritage.

While creating a new event for today's community, the United by Steel Gala has been inspired by that same spirit of togetherness. Through the club's partnership with British Steel, the Attis Arena will become the home for a day that celebrates everything that makes Scunthorpe unique.

The gates open at 10am, with supporters able to enjoy a wide range of family entertainment, community stalls, heritage displays, live music, food and drink, activities for all ages, and opportunities to meet representatives from both Scunthorpe United and British Steel throughout the day, before the Legends XI take on Manchester United Legends at 4pm.

THE FULL ITINERARY...

10am - United by Steel Gala gets underway
With a busy morning welcoming our stallholders and stakeholders to set-up, the United by Steel Gala officially opens at 10am

10.30am-10.55am - Firestorm Majorettes (Performance Zone)
Head to the performance zone for the first set of the day, as we welcome Firestorm Majorettes

11am - Gala Races #1 - 100m run (HITEK Training Ground)
Get your hands on an exclusive limited edition prize by winning the first of our nostalgic Gala races for kids. Head down to the HITEK training ground to get involved!

11.15am - Gala Races #2 - Cone Shuttle Run (HITEK Training Ground)
Get your hands on an exclusive limited edition prize by winning the second of our nostalgic Gala races for kids. Head down to the HITEK training ground to get involved!

11.30am - Gala Races #3 - Parent and Child Relay (HITEK Training Ground)
Get your hands on an exclusive limited edition prize by winning the third and final of our nostalgic Gala races for kids. Head down to the HITEK training ground to get involved!

11.45am-12noon - Supreme Elite Cheer (Performance Zone)
Head back to the performance zone for the second set of the day, as we welcome Supreme Elite Cheer

12noon-12.15pm - Studio 7 (Performance Zone)
Stick with the Performance Zone as Studio 7 give their first set of the day

12noon-12.45pm - Be on our team photo (Attis Arena Stadium)
Have a ticket to be on our 2026-27 team photo? Head to the turnstiles to get your picture taken. No ticket? No problem! Subject to availability, you can pay there and then!

12.15pm-1pm - KAIUS (Music Tent)
Head to the music marquee for the first performance of the afternoon as we head towards our matchday build-up hours

1pm-1.25pm - Firestorm Majorettes (Performance Zone)
Head back to the performance zone for the Firestorm Majorettes' second set of the day

1pm-1.30pm - Open Training Session (HITEK Training Ground)
Head back to the performance zone for the Firestorm Majorettes' second set of the day

1.30pm-2.15pm - Jess Durdy (Music Tent)
It's back to the music marquee as we welcome Jess Durdy to perform her 45 minute set

2.15pm-2.30pm - Supreme Elite Cheer (Performance Zone)
Head back to the performance zone for Supreme Elite Cheer's second set of the day

2.30pm - Turnstiles open ahead of Legends encounter
Finished milling about and taking advantage of the outside? Take your seat inside the Attis Arena and enjoy the build-up to the legends game

2.30pm-2.45pm - Studio 7 (Performance Zone)
The final action in our performance zone as Studio 7 perform their second set of the day

2.45pm-3.30pm - Alfie Kelly (Music Tent)
Taking you right through to just 30 minutes prior to kick-off, head back to the Music Marquee one final time to listen to Alfie Kelly's 45 minute set

4pm - Scunthorpe United Legends v Manchester United Legends
We're onto the main event! Don't miss a plethora of former Iron stars take on a Red Devils' XI, with tickets available via Fanbase

ACROSS THE WHOLE DAY...

• 10am through until after full-time: Wroot Homes Iron Bar open for drinks and refreshments

• DJ TJ - Champagne Discos: Providing your tunes right through the day

• Rides, stalls, food, drink and more: Providing your entertainment and keeping you satisfied!

• Meet the Legends: Look out for the arrival of Iron Legends taking part in the match, with a number of them arriving early across the day!
