Captain sponsor profile: The Winterton Iron

The Iron welcome the Winterton Iron as captain sponsors for our latest home league game against Alfreton Town.

Winterton Iron supporters group was formed back in 2007 with its main aim to support Scunthorpe United.

They are an enthusiastic group who support local charities and raise in excess of £4000 each year. They also encourage children to support the Iron and sponsor them on a local basis whilst playing for their local team. 

They organise away travel by rail and coach and other events during the year.

Their main fundraising is our “Bit of a Do” when they put on a fantastic night of entertainment at Winterton Rangers.

The total raised for Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare in 2023 was £3,955 plus £448 already presented on behalf of the group from Steve Stubbins Local History talks in the area, making a grand total of £4,403. Some major contributions in that total.
