The Iron will be looking to make it five games unbeaten in pre-season and record a first home victory of the new season when Burton Albion journey to Glanford Park on Saturday, July 29th (3pm kick-off).

Jimmy Dean will be looking for his side to end pre-season in style following convincing victories over Ilkeston Town and Gainsborough Trinity and a goalless draw against League Two Doncaster Rovers and a score draw against Championship side Hull City in the last four outings.

In terms of team news, Jacob Butterfield and Andrew Boyce both returned to the starting in midweek after they missed out last weekend. Tom Pugh, after returning to training, was in the squad on Tuesday night as an unused substitute.

The Brewers, of League One, will provide United another tough test to date with a week to go before the big kick-off against Tamworth.

Burton have no former Iron players in their ranks, with Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Sam Winnall both released at the end of last season.

The referee for the encounter is Ruebyn Ricardo, with the assistants Andy Ellis and Jake Allsop. The fourth official is James Needham.
