OTD: April 15

Remembering past matches played by the Iron on April 15 in the past...

Former Iron players born on this day: Neil MacKenzie (1976), Grant McCann (1980), Chris Dagnall (1986), Damien Mozika (1987), Harvey Bunker (2003).

Gary Bull and Gareth Sheldon were on target in our only win On This Day, away at Blackpool in Divison Two in 2000.

Bull scored his only first team goal in United colours, 20 months after his debut, with a close range effort.

Meanwhile, Sheldon cut inside to curl home the second and secure a win that gave their side hope of surviving in the division. However, they were to suffer eventual relegation.

Overall playing record for April 15: Played 17, Won 1, Drawn 6, Lost 10, Scored 12, Conceded 31.
