Iron midfielder Finley Shrimpton has joined Northern Premier League Premier Division side Gainsborough Trinity on a one-month loan.
The 20-year-old was registered in time to potentially make his debut for Trinity at Whitby Town on Tuesday evening.
Shrimpton came into Iron first team contention towards the end of last season following successful loan spells at Grantham Town and Cleethorpes Town.
He made four starts for the Iron in 2021-22, plus a substitute appearance.
The prior campaign, his first as a professional, saw an enjoyable loan spell at Frickley Athletic, where he won numerous man of the match awards.
A local lad, Shrimpton originally joined the club in November 2017 as an Under-16 after his release from Barnsley.
