Following the release of the 2022-23 National League fixtures, Scunthorpe United can confirm the home matches which will be Category A this coming season.
These will be:
- v York City (Saturday, September 17th)
- v Notts County (Saturday, December 3rd)
- v Chesterfield (Monday, December 26th)
- v Oldham Athletic (Monday, April 10th)
As fixtures that see us take on teams located geographically closer to us than the majority of our National League opponents, these games can often lead to increased costs on staffing (not limited to stewarding, catering and hospitality), along with the policing costs which could also arise. Two of the four fixtures also coincide with public holidays, which again generally leads to increased costs.
The football club reserves the right to amend the category of any further game prior to tickets going on sale should the circumstances around the particular fixture see this necessary. Supporters will be communicated regarding these changes with as much notice as possible.
