IRON TEAM NEWS

Striker Joe Nuttall is suspended for the Iron’s trip to Huish Park after his red card away at Wealdstone, which was appealed but ultimately knocked back by the FA. It's the second match of a three-game ban.

Liam Feeney and Kgosi Ntlhe (hamstrings) continue to miss out due to their respective injuries. Jordan Hallam is back in training but not match fit for Saturday.

THE OPPOSITION

Yeovil Town currently sit 19th in the Vanarama National League with four wins, ten draws and seven losses. They sit seven points above the Iron. In our previous meeting this season, the Iron came away 2-1 winners with goals from Andrew Boyce and Jacob Butterfield.

32-year-old striker Alex Fisher is the Glovers' top goalscorer this season with four goals in 20 games. He signed from Newport County in the summer on a free transfer.

Yeovil’s last game was away against Bromley and was abandoned in the 11th minute due a medical emergency in the crowd, and it was later sadly confirmed that a Bromley fan had passed away.

Yeovil come into the game against the Iron in good form. They are currently five unbeaten after winning 1-0 at home against Halifax Town, drawing 0-0 away against Notts County, winning 3-1 at home against Gateshead, drawing 0-0 at home to Maidenhead and drawing 1-1 away to Maidstone.

This is Yeovil’s fourth year in the National League after being relegated from League Two in 2018/19 with their highest National League finish being fourth. This came in 2018/19 when the season was cut short due to COVID-19. Last season Yeovil finished 12th with 59 points.

THE OFFICIALS

The referee for Saturday’s game is Elliot Swallow, the two assistant referees are Grzegorz Kornasiewicz and Ciaran Barlow. The fourth official is Craig Scriven. Swallow has officiated 10 National League games so far this seasn, one being an Iron game away at Eastleigh where we suffered a 2-0 defeat, handing out two yellow cards, one to either side.

MATCHDAY DETAILS

There is on-site parking available at Huish Park for the cost of £3, but be aware this does tend to fill up quickly. Another option for travelling fans is to park on Stourton Way (BA21 3FF). This is a 5-10-minute walk to the ground but please be mindful of local residents and you park at your own risk if you do choose to park here. If you decide to travel by train, be aware, although Yeovil has two train stations the nearest, Pen Mill Junction, is 3 miles away and the other, Yeovil Junction, is 5 miles away, therefore some fans decide to get a taxi to the ground, whereas others decide to catch the local bus, the number 68 bus to the town centre then the number 51 bus to Abbey Manor estate, which is a short walk to the ground.

Scunthorpe supporters will be located in Block P of the Screwfix stand, which is a seated area.
