Remembering past matches played by the Iron on August 11...
| Former Iron players born on this day: Glenn Humphries (1964), Mike Jeffrey (1971), Dany N’Guessan (1987), George Miller (1998). |
The Iron started life in the Championship with a 1-1 draw at Charlton in 2007.
Despite creating a host of chances and applying almost pressure, it took the Addicks 62 minutes to score. Marcus Bent slotted in from six yards after Yassin Moutaouakil's cross had broken to him via a deflection.
But Scunthorpe centre-back Izzy Iriekpen headed in on his debut to earn his side a share of the points for Nigel Adkins' side with a bullet header from a corner.
