Scunthorpe earned back-to-back home wins for the first time since 2010 as they overcame Crawley Town in February 2013, backing up a win over Portsmouth the midweek prior.
After a goalless first half, the visitors went in front when former Scunthorpe favourite Matt Sparrow struck from close range.
The Iron were back on terms midway through the second period when Jimmy Ryan smashed home from close in.
Scunthorpe completed their comeback 12 minutes from time as Niall Canavan rose highest at the far post to head home.

Paddy Madden's strike helped United overcome fellow strugglers Crawley Town as both attempted to avoid relegation from League One.
Ryan Dickson accidentally deflected Jordan Clarke's shot past his own keeper to gift Scunthorpe an early lead.
Madden's second-half close-range strike looked to have put the visitors out of sight.
Izale McLeod's scored a consolation as his side slipped to 20th in the table.
